Forcepoint DLP – Mozilla Browser Extension Privacy Policy

Last Updated: December 23, 2024

What We Collect:

  • Personal Data: User’s email address (if provided).
  • Technical Data: Device name, OS, Domain, search URL.
  • Interaction Data: Uploaded and transferred files, website form interactions including text and numbers.

What We Do with the Collected Data:

  • The data collected is passed to the local Forcepoint endpoint agent where it is processed and sent for analysis by the Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) services that your company has implemented to protect you and the company. This DLP analysis checks if the content violates any of your company’s defined DLP policies.
  • All data collected is immediately deleted from the Forcepoint endpoint agent after processing.
  • If the content of the data triggers a DLP policy violation, an incident is created and sent to your company’s DLP manager (FSM). Depending on the policy configuration by your company, this incident can optionally include the initially collected data.

What We Do Not Do:

  • The browser extension does not store any data collected within the extension itself.
  • The Forcepoint endpoint agent does not store any data collected after it is processed and sent to the Forcepoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) services.

Security:

  • If the content triggers a policy violation, the data is transferred over HTTPS using TLS 1.2 (if configured in the DLP manager), when leaving the local computer and being sent to your company’s hosted DLP manager (FSM).

Contact Information: If you have any questions or concerns about this privacy policy, please contact your company’s privacy officer.
